Coliacovo sounds a bit discombobulated. I wonder if this "injury" had anything to do with it?

I know Evans is unlikely to replicate this season, but is a late 1st really worth it? Even if he's just a 30 point center, he's still money on the faceoffs, an absolute workhorse, and arguably the best PKer in the league. Hopefully, he agrees to 3.5x4.
Agree. Same debate as Lehky. Should have kept him. Honest players are rare.

Anyone that is not seeing Dach improve is either not watching games or has a seeing eye dog and a braille book .His skating alone has improved 100% ,his contact and work ethic the same even if he doesn't score every game
Very happy to see Dach progressing, but he needs to be stronger along the boards. He was a beast pre-injury, outmuscling everyone off the puck, but this season he consistently loses the puck the moment he's pressured.

What an amazing period by Montreal.

Goal 1: Laine uses his big frame to lean on his checker & protect the puck. He draws three guys to him leaving Guhle with a beautiful cross seam pass to Newhook. Newhook to Dach. Beauty goal. Newhook's 1st assist!

Goal 2: Bad change for Florida. Hutson takes the puck away drops to Newhook. Newhook throws a pass up center ice to a speeding Dach. He turns Knight. Another beautiful goal.

Goal 3: Jake & Army conspire to steal the puck SH. Earn a 2 on 1. Evans shoots! Goal! Ha. Ha. Ha.

Damn, a SHG by Evans again. 2G from Dach. 2A from Newhook. Game changer if those 2 get going.

Dobes perfect and looking steady & confident.

Great, great period.

Armia showing why skills need a brain attached to be a great player. He should have known to pass it to Heineman right away before he goes too deep and the defender slides down. Just basic knowledge

He has a brain, unfortunately he's just a little too slow to process the game at NHL speed. He's a monster when he has space and time.

Lmao Evans is not a 4th line forward, especially with his performance this year. Dach has never proven to be a successful scoring line forward in his NHL career.
Evans is absolutely a 4th line forward or a guy that might take the 3rd line spot if you need for a while. This year is an anomaly for him, he is shooting around 30% right now.
