Soft does NOT mean no compete. They compete. It means they get hit more and there is more chance of injuries. They need 2 more guys like Xhekaj and at least one unpredictable cheap shot artist to keep teams honest.

The league is soft. Every team is the same.

It that's the case, it shouldn't be hard to replace a couple forwards and dominate physically like the Panthers. They don't exactly have a hot pot of fully skilled individuals. It's just a well balanced team that plays hard.

I don't mean skate around like they're playing pond hockey. They don't compete in the sense that there is no urgency, desire, hard work or willingness to play as a squad and defend each other.

My original post in this thread was about how the team pulled Laine, who was clearly being targeted (for his own stupidity), and not one Hab did a thing about it. That's not a proper compete level. That's pathetic.

Any time a player comes to this team that has an ounce of grit to his game, it gets "coached" out of him. That isn't a coincidence. It's a soft, no compete culture.
