Most of the time they do. They sag sometimes like when there is a poor goaltending performance.
I don't mean skate around like they're playing pond hockey. They don't compete in the sense that there is no urgency, desire, hard work or willingness to play as a squad and defend each other.
My original post in this thread was about how the team pulled Laine, who was clearly being targeted (for his own stupidity), and not one Hab did a thing about it. That's not a proper compete level. That's pathetic.
Any time a player comes to this team that has an ounce of grit to his game, it gets "coached" out of him. That isn't a coincidence. It's a soft, no compete culture.
