Some good stuff from Blackwood about Thomas Speer. Obviously things went well in their relationship so he might be a bit of a biased or unreliable narrator, but it's exciting to think that we might actually have a goalie coach in place who can really help in the development of Askarov:
Blackwood, on what makes Speer so good:

I mean, it’s everything. He’s so technical. He gets the day-to-day nuances. Easy to talk to, good relationships. I mean, technically, he’s awesome.

Nuances of day to day, when to push and when to hold back. So we had a really close relationship there, and always, always be thankful for him.

Kiddo was bummed last night wasn't a "Sharks Night." I thought he was a true fan at the age of 4, but alas, he wanted "Pizza and Sharks Night!" Made the dough last night as a surprise. He wanted pineapple, pepperoni, sausage and ham ("ham friangles please!"). You got it, lil dude. Mom and dad went with pep, ham (in squares), sausage and mushrooms. Full bellies ready for some Sharks!

(Yes, that's cardboard that the kiddo's pizza is on. I scored some 16x16 sheets on Amazon because my neighbors get occasional pies from us.)

I get the Avs feed...

their color guy, former player Mark Rycroft, looks like a discount Walton Goggins impersonator. Which would weirdly imply the existence of full-value Walton Goggins impersonators.
