Beniers actually partially wins an o-zone face-off, but as he's on his knees from falling over with this asinine face-off technique, can do nothing with it and VGK manages to clear.

I guess I was naive to think part of the reason they brought Bellemare in last season was to help some of these young guys learn to take a face-off.

So like...Grubauer makes a spectacular save sliding across and stopping that shot on his belly with his blocker, but then he just sort of lays there? If they had managed to score on the rebound, some of that would have absolutely been on him? You don't know where it went off your blocker, fine...get up and get back into a neutral position!

This team is just broken. The only positive I am taking from this season is that we sell all our pending UFA's at the TDL (or before) instead of keeping them for a futile run at making the playoffs. We should be well out of the playoff race before the TDL.

The way things are trending it will take quite a turnaround. We will be up for the 8th pick after this game. And the 2 teams behind us are 1 and 2 points behind us with 2 games in hand. We are heading in the direction of a top-5 pick more than a bubble playoff team.

Beniers has almost half as many goals as Wright for that matter (4 to 7).

I’ve been thinking this for a while. Pretty sure I mentioned it in a previous game day thread. Wrist specifically. He’s not using his stick the way he normally does.

Oh I hear you, I just mean it'd be fun in the sense it would mean someone on this team actually clicked with someone else besides those two, and we could stop the incessant tinkering.
