If I remember correctly, Yzerman actually said he wasn't making the goal this year to simply make the playoffs and he was thinking more long term to build a young nucleus that will compete and make deep run for year after year.

Hes one of our top shooters and hes been shooting 1 or 2 shots a game if were lucky. Should be aiming 4+ a night. His shot is too good
