Stu Circus back in town, Bustfield and no hands Warren scoring is a bad look

Guy is just not reliable enough for a contender. Need to trade for an upgrade on Pickard so they can yank the Clown when he’s full 3 Ring Circus mode

No way! Blackwood (or another tender) could be the next Jack Campbell so trying another goalie is absolutely not allowed. We have no choice but to stick with Moustache Man, say the masses.

I think they will make a move before the deadline. Not a big one but as we are seeing, some discards can play good hockey, especially when motivated to prove something.

I think we need to somehow allow negative high danger chances. Just invent that term

How many times do we allow one high danger yet multiple goals go in.

I personally think that we were outplayed after they scored the game tying goal (I don't blame Skinner on that one) but it would've been nice if he didn't let that Foegele goal in. That's a save that a more athletic tender likely makes.
Its fair to blame him. The GA doesn't happen if Skinner has even mid level flexibilty of an NHL starting goalie. Because he doesn't that post isn't sealed and theres around 10inches the puck could go in there, and it did.

Goalies with adequate flexibility can cover post to post or at least come close. Skinner leaves anywhere from 18inches to 2 feet on some of his lazier butterflies. Just terrible form.

The takeaway from that period is that McDavid forgot how to shoot again and we don't have the horses to match size and grit with the team's bigger and tougher teams. Kane will help but we need more than that. Ideally a strong defender that can clear the crease and a couple of bigger forwards to round out our bottom 6. We make it too easy on the other team's defense because we don't have enough guys getting into the blue paint and making a living there.

One period that wasn't spectacular against a team we regularly beat for fun and posts like this come out.

Really?

I mean it seems like it's a hopeless endeavor for the team in general, if they can't handle all of LA's amazing talent and monstrous size, all we can do is pray

Yeah, LA sucks, they shouldn’t be winning this game. Size and trapping with no talent doesn’t a good team make in today’s NHL

That “saint-Pierre” tv show commercial is probably the worst advertisement I’ve seen in recent memory. Shame on them!

Brown nice shot assist on the Kapanen goal. Then follows it up with an awful period losing Byfield, letting his man walk right out in front of net and tucking it in, then bad on next shift giving puck away own end, then again on the Kings 2nd goal. The Henrique line not doing well today.

It has been a recurring team. Same story as the Florida game. When teams play big boy hockey we have a very hard time with it because of our roster make-up. Look at Brown trying to defend Byfield, all of the Kings crashing the crease, etc.
