Committee for sure. The only thing, what he was really thinking was go find me another D with size and tuffness... because that'll magically fix the lack of structure ,the years long subpar 5v5 scoring and the rotten culture floating around. How many cup winners have we seen in recent years that have had fairly average D groups. Large part of defending is just playing as a group with the proper structure. This hybrid man to man we've switched to obviously isn't helping. I don't know why we're still trying it.
I don't want to go too much down that aspect, I'd rather bitch about the Kakko trade
. It's insane to think about the thought process there. As per the reports, Drury mandated a D in the trade. So in a dumpster fire of a season, instead of maximizing KK's value, this guy says... no we're not going to field offers for a while. Let's get this done right now. What we really, really need is this bottom pairing guy. This will get us back on track. It's crazy I'd take him now to fix this defense

Don’t know why we got rid of JM. Just because we ousted Quinn we also booted Martin? Guy developed Hossa, Havlat, Chara, Redden, Alfredsson, Yashin, Mike Fisher and Vermette. A legend with young players and teaching a two-way game.
