I think people saw the mounting issues with Zibanejad and Kreider for awhile, but they still outscored opponents by a ton last year.

This team really needed Kreider to age gracefully to not hit the bottom hard. They got the opposite. He became barely an NHL player in one offseason.

Maybe it's a blip and he doesn't stay like that, but age dictates that he does.
