This game was reminiscent of the Oiler game.
Really no 3 on 2's or 2 on 1's
Some sustained pressure by both teams.

Korpi looking good upping his record to 7-3-1 .904sa.
Capitals on Monday night.
I sense a low scoring game.

You might be right, but let's find out, who can step up and who cannot before any moves are made, I am not against moves, I just hope to make the right ones.
I hear you but to find out I think you have to put people in the right situation. Put the new guys on a lines where the other two know what they're doing together. Wahlstrom with Coyle and Frederic or maybe up with Lindholm and Marchand. McLaughlin with Kastellic and Kopetke
Career PPG

Wahlstom - 0..320

Brazeau - 0.401

Frederic - 0.333
Thats fine - he was talking about McLaughlin and Wahlstrom

You could also call Poitras up and sit Brazeau
Your 3rd line could be Freddy - Matty and Wahlstrom
With fast players it show how slow Brazeau is. There's a reason why he hasn't caught on with a team until he was 26yrs old.

True that. The Ullmark trade keeps looking better and better. And the coveted 1st round draft pick is still percolating in Boston.

I wouldn't call what Letourneau's doing percolating. 2 assists sounds more like
they haven't turned on the coffee maker yet. Its good Korpisalo and Kastelic have played well because right now nothing to write home about with DL.

Totally could - just think Wahlstrom needs to settle in first also don't think he's any faster than Brazeau right now. Maybe if/when he's comfortable in the system he will play quicker.

Think they started the year with Frederic Poitras and Geekie.

First of all, please allow me to apologize for my posts in the GDT last night. Luckily, my wife took my tablet and phone from me before it got worse. I’m taking beta blockers due to heart issues. They cause me great confusion along with other issues.
I read the replies some of you made to my posts. Honestly, I’m thankful they weren’t worse than they were. I’m hopeful that my medications can be changed and this issue is solved. I’m told I won’t be allowed access to my phone/tablet under these circumstances again.

Again, sorry for this. At least a few of you found humor in it. :)

They’re coming tomorrow. Thanks for asking. I’m so glad I shared that.
Not sure if you'll get a chance to read this, but it was so Ozzy-like that most of us just had a good laugh

Hope you get your meds sorted out and will be able to post here again soon

..but some of us are still wondering "what is the big Chevy thing"??

Take care Oz!

4 Takeaways From Bruins' Victory Over Sabres - The Hockey Writers Boston Bruins Latest News, Analysis & More

Korpisalo Impresses

There were several raised eyebrows, including my own, when the return for the Linus Ullmark trade with the Ottawa Senators was announced. Joonas Korpisalo was brought in as part of the return to be the new backup behind Jeremy Swayman. He came into Boston with a big question mark after a down year in 2023-24.

So far though, Korpisalo has been solid in 2024-25, which was on full display against the Sabres. He came into the game having 10 starts and a 6-3-1 record with a 2.56 goals-against average (GAA) and a .901 save percentage.

He was the Bruins’ best player against the Sabres. He had a major save in the first period to keep the Bruins ahead by one. As well, he weathered several penalty kills against the young, talented skilled players on Buffalo’s roster. The goal he let in during the second period was more on the skill of the Buffalo power play and loss of coverage by the Bruins’ penalty kill than a failure on Korpisalo’s part.

He finished the game with 19 saves and a .950 save percentage. It was a close game, and there were a number of moments where the Sabres could have scored if it weren’t for Korpisalo. He was the MVP of the game for the Bruins.

I’m on team Brazzeau. Guy makes so many smart subtle plays that go unnoticed by a lot of people here. Get this man more pp time and guarantee the pp isn’t dead last.

He’s out performing 3/4 of this team right now.

Could sit Coyle or Freddy over him. Coyle’s been ass this year

Braz had, what, 45 seconds of PP time last night?

And they scored. He was the key, getting knocked down and interfering with Reimer.

Yup, but half the posters seem to want him in the press box cuz he's not the fastest.

He seems to always be making the right, smart play.

Then the first PP was just standing still for about 30 seconds on one of the earlier powerplays lol.

Or half the team blindly throws it in front when no one is there or tries to pass it through 3 guys and it doesn't even get past the first guy.

No problem, it was more interesting than most of the game to be honest. I tend to gravitate to funnier side of things and well I took advantage of that but it was all in jest. Hope all is well, have a good holiday season and keep cheering the team on.

Here is something I found funny last night about the Usyk-Fury fight. Hope it gets a smile out of you. This is Fury walking into the ring with his shorts once again way too high
