Does it matter? The Bruins will need a boost at the deadline but anyone of those 4 teams are capable of beating each other. I would rather start round 1 on the road anyway.
Don't matter to me I was just pointing out they might be 2 up on TB but they hold 5 gms at hand .Be a WC probably looking at NJ which would be interesting 😆

Remember when some fans wanted to waive Korpisalo and keep Bussi? Remember when some fans wanted to buyout Korpisalo after he was acquired? Remember how pissed many fans were when we acquired him?
He played well tonight for sure but Swayman has had the tougher matchups . I’d play Swayman vs Washington on Monday and then split the games vs Columbus and take it from there. Maybe start rotating them ?

The B's will need to play much better Monday night against the Caps if they want to grab another two points before Christmas

..if I was Sacco, I would have a full practice tomorrow on just passing and shooting (because their passing stunk tonight and they need to shoot more)

and I'd put Geekie, Braz and Lohrei on PP1 with Marchand and Pasta next game

And bring up Poitras to be the 3C . Frederic is not the answer.

In the end, the hockey gods wouldn't be denied. Buffalo's PP goal was after a borderline call on Wahlstrom, who later drew the penalty that led to the game-winner. Geekie had a goal called back but still ended up with the GWG.

I like Wotherspoon, but Oesterle has won the sixth defenseman job. His veteran presence is palpable. I haven't heard Hampus Lindholm's name in a while. Hope his recovery is on track.

Side note: I've gone thorough periods in life when I couldn't buy a break. In fact, that's been most of 2024. ;) So I feel for the Sabres and empathize with what they are enduring.

Games in hand mean nothing until you win them. But you already knew that. It's why you keep bringing it up. 😆

Tampa has yet to win a game against an Atlantic Division opponent. Most of their games remaining are against Atlantic Division opponents.

They have a back to back with Florida starting tomorrow. Be interesting to see how that goes .

Oh nice, made up 2 pts on the Leafs tonight too

Lineup against the caps seems pretty open for coach. Lots of choices.
It's bizarre based on how poorly they have played at times that they are only four points out of first place in the division and the two teams ahead of them only have one game in hand.

Marchand still has speed in those little rat legs as you could see on that empty net goal

Korpisalo should split the games 50/50 with Swayman going forward

Sacco has done a decent job since taking over and maybe should take the helm
Yep. Brad has been getting better as the season goes on. He works his ass off every shift.

Korpi was great!

Nice getting the win! It makes the drive back to NH feel so much shorter.

Bruins played down to Buffalo most of the night. Games like this, I almost wish the other team would score first, because then the Bruins come alive and play with intensity the whole game. When we score first against a bad team we put it in cruise control until the other team makes it interesting.

Missed most of the third since i met up with the boys for a night before the holidays. Doesn't look like they picked it up any after the first two periods.

Two points is still two points but guys, come on. It's Buffalo, who had been winless in 12 and were coming off a game the night before. I'm not saying i want a 10-1 win, but having it be more convincing would be nice,

Coyle shot the puck and didn't "move" Reimer, its a good goal.

Sabres #23 pushed Geekie into Reimer, good goal.
This. Brickley praised Reimer's leg strength when he held up against Coyle pushing on the pad but oddly enough that's probably the reason why Buffalo doesn't even bother reviewing it.
