That's because he is awful defensively. his 5 on 5 time should be next to nothing, his benefit frankly doesn't out weigh his cons. I'll be happy when he is gone. Outside of a hard shot he really adds nothing. His "gritty" play is overrated and he's always injured.

I think Wiz was on the ice for every goal scored by the Jackets in the Oilers and Flames games.

lmfao

But yeah, Wiz is pretty much Kevin Bieksa who doesn't get to play with a Dan Hamhuis or Willie Mitchell. Just a train wreck in his own zone, with his trade mark "cross crease" passes... omg why is there a player who does that

I'll be pleased if we just cut back Wiz's five-on-fives when we're ahead. The fact that he was on the ice for so many goals for and against is not to his discredit, it's the fact that we were leading in both games when so many goals went each way.
A few points:

1) Can someone confirm that Wiz was on for all 10 goals for? I don't believe it.

2) He has looked far worse in these two games than in most of his tenure. Give the guy a break, or blame the coach for playing him when he isn't ready.

3) I see a valuable hockey player in Wiz. We are deep, so it would be understandable if he is dealt, but it better be for something good.

He's only -1 in 2 games after missing a month with a broken foot.

And only -3 for the year so far.

Lets get back to hating Aucoin and Nikitin, please.

OK. We really needed that win. Don't like seeing us give up 10 goals in 2 games, but we did score 10 of our own. Can't keep that up.

What I don't like is that we still have played 1-2 more games than every one else in the Conference. We really need a lot of things to fall into place for us to stay close. Keep your fingers crossed.

Ducks tomorrow. I will be there. CBJ can really make a statement if they can punk those guys. Ducks coming off a big win over the Hawks so maybe we catch them down a bit? One can hope.

10 goals in 2 games- wow! Now if Jarmo can just fix the D :sarcasm:

Lol, yea.

You would think that on the road these guys could maintain their focus and play their style. Instead, they allow themselves to get caught up in a horse race. Thankfully, Calgary doesn't have the young guns that the Oilers have.

I thought Mason looked OK. I thought three of the four goals were pretty good goals, and only thought he should have had the other one. Maybe it was the fourth, can't remember.

Anyway, time to regain some focus and shut things down. We aren't going to win those kinds of games against the elite teams.

Regarding SCORING: We have "opened the can of scoring whoopass" against two arguably inferior teams. Like I keep saying and nobody agrees with.... we are playing to the level of the competition, matching poor D to poor D. Or good D to good D. Which is to say, we have a team of SYCOPHANTS.

Note: the word sycophant is Latin for "suck on figs". I'm not making that up.

Synonyms
apple-polisher, bootlicker, brownnoser, fawner, flunky (also flunkey or flunkie), lickspittle, suck-up, toady

Related Words
yes-man; apparatchik, company man; hanger-on, leech, parasite, sponge, sponger; henchman, lackey, lapdog, minion, running dog, satellite, slave, stooge; admirer, cultist, devotee, enthusiast, fan, groveler, idolater (or idolator), worshipper (or worshiper), zealot; adherent, camp follower, convert, disciple, follower, me-tooer.
