I would rather Gomez be playing with two talented AHL scorers like Bracken Kearns and Tim Kennedy for example, rather than two NHL checkers. Not denying that Desjardins and Burish are probably better than Kearns and Kennedy, but Kearns and Kennedy are way more talented, and playing with Scott Gomez against fourth liners and bottom pairing defensemen, they could do pretty well.
