Definitely closer than 50 but the nhl site automatically record when the puck enter the net and the player position at that time, so oftentimes it record as much as 10 feet closer when the play is in forward motion
You can't just go to the replay. The puck left his stick at about the middle of the hashmarks, which is 26.5' out from the goal line. It's a prime scoring location.

I am surprise to learn I was debating that....
I merely mentioned that the nhl official site is not a good place if you want the accurate distance to track a shot.
