The older one is teaching the new one how to bullshit the Oilers.
I’m sure there’s some kind of indoctrination…

They haven't found a place for J Skinner where he isn't bleeding GA or getting hopelessly outscored. For the team the least harm position for J Skinner is on the bench. This guys game was harmed by far too long of playing for bad non competitive clubs. it trained the player just to look for cherry pts and to play hard. Thus, and watch for it, when you get the most of J Skinner is when games are already decided. Then suddenly he's a demon getting chances in games that are already won or lost because the opponent intensity or coverage no longer needs to be there. Its like somebody rings his bell the last shifts of a hockey game. The same player will mostly be invisible here in formative competed segments of games. He's either getting some at games start when teams haven't unpacked their game yet or getting some buzzer beater action.Yeah. You can argue that they shouldn’t have signed him, but that’s a moot point once the ink dries on the contract. They have him on the roster. He’s got a 3m deal with a full no move. Maybe at least try to put him in a position where his skill set isn’t a negative ??
3 on 3 NHL OT, designed to be packed full of goals and designed to solve most ties started in 2015. Thus denoting it as in NHL history is misleading as you hint at This stat of course captures only current players and selects for those that have played since 2015.Crazy. That’s gonna be a record that McDrai will own all to themselves. No pesky Gretzky and Lemiuex in their way.
Of course but moving forward this will be part of nhl history. And mcDrai will be enshrined as some of the clutchest players of this era and probably many eras in the future.3 on 3 NHL OT, designed to be packed full of goals and designed to solve most ties started in 2015. RNH does a lot of things right and is a far better topline player and especially given his 200ft play and reading risks of counters better than McD or Hyman would. Basically any coach with acumen slots RNH in topsis or topline regardless of production because the player is 200ft smart. McD or Drai would BOTH want RNH on their line. He's that type of player. The whole Jeff Skinner thing has been bizarre to me. No idea why we even signed him.
Despite his faults he hasn’t got much of an opportunity in the top 6.
Have to think that McDavid and Draisaitl have some say in their linemates and neither of them want to play with him.
Could really say the same with Henrique but at least I think he was signed to be the 3C.
If RNH was hitting it out of the park, maybe I would understand it more.
Just bizarre signing and line up choices.
Yep. Also to add that for most clubs a game like last night would be cherished. For most fans in attendance it would be. But somehow collectively most of the fans spent 59mins fairly hating the game which was uber entertaining game. I understand its not an optimal result to edge SJ but the game depicts how contests between best clubs and those not in the running often goes in regular season. To the Sharks its their SC and we should be pleased we are that yardstick for every other team. That means we're the mountain worth climbing, or dying trying.Of course but moving forward this will be part of nhl history. Wont be an easy game....the Sens are white hot.Would be nice to make a statement before the holiday break by beating up on the Sens. Ullmark has been strong lately, so we will have to bring our A game. Let's start this game on time and not in the second period please.
Bold prediction: Oilers win 5-2, and Ullmark faces 40+ shots.

Because he is small, slow, soft, gives up on plays, and is bad defensively. The guy is the prime candidate for, "fall off a cliff."I agree. I don't understand why they never gave him a sustained run with McDavid and/or Draisaitl.
I get that it’s back to back so not happening tonight but in general, I really want pikard to start more. It’s wild how I feel way more at ease when he’s in net. lol
Strudwick on Got yer back podcast. Perhaps I shouldn't have posted that's since it's the only source.
That's my source. Might not be a good rumor. Should not have posted that. Sorry to start speculation.
2 goal spot job aka Skinny dip.
They did and then Kulak immediately got confused so they switched them back. What was with the new D pairs if we didn't even use them?
LOL. It took awhile but Drive has joined the Nuge side. And I love to see it.Who are you??????????
Well we did use them for a goal against and Knob was like K f*** this…What was with the new D pairs if we didn't even use them?
Am I the only one that noticed 2 JSkinner hard backchecks last game or what? He pretty much ran an opposition forward into our net from the center line to the blue paint.Because he is small, slow, soft, gives up on plays, and is bad defensively. The guy is the prime candidate for, "fall off a cliff."
He can't backcheck because he is so slow. He can't win a puck battle because he is small and soft. He actually did win a few in the beginning of the season, but he got bumped around so he doesn't do that anymore.
He needs to play a neutral zone game (never go past the dots in the offensive zone unless in front of the net) to make up for his slowness. Show some heart. Play like you're going to earn a few bruises.
