No, I meant the European posters earlier in the thread
Well, technically, 5 weeks of paid leave is what you get as an employee in Finland. That is assuming you have worked in the same company for over a year. 4 weeks for summer, 1 week for winter.

In addition to that, most blue collar jobs at least have this thing where in the CBA the standard weekly working time has been set to 37.5 hours. It's not practical to work 7.5 hours a day, so you work for 8 hours (40 hours a week). And thus, you earn 2.5 hours of "free time" for every working week. So in a full year that's about 14 days worth. This is not paid vacation technically speaking, the employer has the final say on when you can have those days. Typically employers might have a day off here and then, if they have some personal business to attend to. But in our case, we just tacked it all along the public holidays we have during this Christmas/New Year. A good year, when all the upcoming public holidays are on the working week. Obviously this is not always the case, if Christmas is on the weekend then tough shit, you will not get a "free day off".

Might actually be better if there is no Rempe or Trouba to handle this stuff. The rest have step up.
