It's such a cope, the goalies job is to cut down the angles and give you nothing to shoot at. A post is not better than a shot on goal, a post means he gave you nothing to shoot at and cut the angles so well that you didn't even get a shot on net. And angles accelerate over time so it's a myth that we were just an inch away from scoring or whatever if it were an inch away it would've hit the goalie because the angle wouldn't have been severe yet. People using it as an excuse remind me of my drunk uncle telling me Igor isn't that good because he got lucky with his best friend Mr. post
