realistically there's obviously nothing to panic about with the roster short term. also realistically there ain't even a remote possibility this 3rd line isn't going to have a significant makeover btw now and april. they are the definition of clock killers at the moment, and they've been bad at managing even that.

the only reason chytil hasn't been declared done for the year is to avoid any attention being placed on the rangers cap space. drury quietly kicking the tires around the league on how to use that cap space. i'd bet a fair amount it's almost entirely allocated to filling out the bottom 6, not a flashy name like tarasenko. only bigger name i'd give an outside chance to is lindholm, and that's only because of his value in a middle 6 shutdown role....think that's gonna be too pricey tho.
