GDT: Game #34: Dallas @ Utah HC - 8:00pm MST - Utah16, UtahHC+

Needless to say, I am watching the game now...

Well we still have a game....

(Saw it on Twitter before the stream..)

I just watched this game, with no volume, which I like because I observe much more closely.
I thought , on the whole, Utah played lazy hockey, failing to execute and hustle. The got outskated and man handled. Sure, they gave it a go at the end, but thats no good compared to playing hard and fast the entire game, like I thought they did against the Canucks and the Wild… this game was just an extension of the collapse against Anaheim.
The coaches are not getting it done, and neither are the players.
And Crouse might as well be benched. He’s not contributing much.

8th best record in the league in PTS% over the last 10 games and a +9 differential.

Yet we're crap.
Many have no idea what they are talking about. You have 20 players that a coach has to deal with every game, We know it's all about winning, but you can't win every game, or even play good for every game. The parity in the NHL is just insane. Any team can beat another team on any given day, that's how close it is to winning and losing in the NHL right now.

Where is this parity? Almost half the league is .500 or worse for point and almost have the league has double digits minus goal differential. Of course every team can beat any team occasionally, but that doesn't mean they can do it regularly. That's what parity means.

You will always have a few teams at the bottom because of rebuild, injuries etc. same goes for a couple of teams at top, but you look at the wild card race and it's crazy close. You look at the Eastern Division and the top team has 11 more pts. than the second wild card, that is crazy, and then look at the wild card and see how many teams are still contending for that. Same goes for the Western Division. If you don't think there is not parity in the NHL is your opinion, but in mine I think there is a great deal of parity. With as many teams in the NHL I don't think you can ask for anything more.

Whatever, they played poorly against Dallas… maybe the reasons why are beyond me, but they did; both on an absolute and a relative scale.
And Crouse is getting close to not deserving ice time ; time to change the message.
