My point is that both guys help each other. Neither is dependent on the other since McLellan has come in, which is the time frame we were discussing, Maf. No one's debating that Thornton didn't have a hugely better career than Marleau until their 30s.
And he's great with posession, wins board battles like crazy, and makes obscene passes out of nowhere that seem to even surprise the people he's passing to. He just needs to start clicking with someone who can put the damn puck in the net.
I think that if Clowe is traded for Koko Sheppard can be moved to the third line with Galiardi and Pavelski, while the fourth line can be Desjardins-Gomez-Warm body
