Well Tyler Johnson just got unconditionally waived so that opens a spot up for Wahlstrom. Time to see Poitras back up and McLaughlin back down.
I don't think they will bring Poitras back up. At least not until late in the year. As long as they stay in the hunt and win on a 2 out of every 3 games sort of pace I think they will let him grow and develop down there. Barring injuries of course. Just a feeling.

Wahlstrom doesn't have to do much to be an upgrade on Johnson but I hope he brings a lot.

Contenders or pretenders? Tonight might answer that.

Just watched a lot of Wahlstrom highlights. Not only can he shoot but he’s got a sick set of mitts in tight. He also seems to surprise goalies with when he shoots which is something I love and this team desperately needs.
I've seen some good highlights as well but I am left wondering why the Islanders gave up on him. What's the flaw? I guess we will find out if there is one or if they are just badly managed.

Glad to see Wahlstrom in.

Disappointed they're not going to take a longer look at 63-28-13.

I'm disappointed that Koepke sits when he doesn't deserve to yet Frederic gets another pass.

Why? He's been brutal

He's a fourth line energy guy and plays hard every shift of every game. Brutal in that he isn't scoring a ton, okay. But Freddy has done f***all for most of the season and yet somehow never seems to get scratched.

Id sit Beecher over Koepke personally, but otherwise agree with the rest of this post.

Freddy has been better recently, still not great, but I'm guessing they'd like to keep him in to see if he can keep it going, maybe up his value for a trade a bit. We have a fairly large log jam in that bottom 6 and I just don't see how you keep him for the money he'll likely demand

Beecher has been nails at the face-off dot though. Think he went 8-0 against Calgary

Lucky goals are still better than non-existent goals. It means a player was in the right spot and did the right things for luck to happen.

Last goal he scored was going hard to the net. Not pretty but effective. No style points in nhl.
No intent to imply otherwise if that’s how it came across. Just feels like we’re celebrating McLaughlin as though he’s finally busted out and is capitalizing on all the great chances he’s been creating.

A couple of meat and potatoes goals from a meat and potatoes player. That’s GOOD, but doesn’t earn him a place as a permanent staple in the lineup. He’s roster spackle. A fine option for a… 14th forward.

Since we can’t match them offense wise, I think tonight this needs to be a grinding road win (2-1 game) with Swayman helping to steal one. They win this and the road trip is a huge success vs how it started. Then hopefully it propels them (fingers crossed again) to an even longer winning streak

Let’s go Bruins!

I am too, Bill. Thought that line was playing much better than they were with Brazeau on it.

Looking forward to seeing if Wahlstrom provides a spark.

Sportsnet One: full coverage starting at 6 pm Pacific / 9 pm Eastern
Sportsnet Ontario and Sportsnet East: JIP at 7:30 pm Pacific / 10:30 pm Eastern

What a joke. Once again the NHL & Sportsnet shoots themselves in the foot. Garbage 👎

Love how you babies all go back to shitting on Freddy, comical please don't stop.

Koepke has provided nothing in the terms of energy, sitting hopefully resets.

I’m likely going with the same game watching plan as Tuesday night: first and second live, DVR the third and have Breakfast with the Bruins early am tomorrow. Enjoyed the Pasta OT winner at 6am. Hoping for similar result ( maybe a regulation win to end the road-trip):yo:

Here we go :bruinshere we go!!:clap:
I cheat and check the final on a bathroom run about 3am :sarcasm:
