Sharks lack team toughness. Lots of room for improvement there. Thornton will probably show Macklin video of his cousin Scott handling Fischer.

I was at that game with the Fischer fight and what prompted that was Scott Thornton had gotten cross checked by Fischer and his skates were knocked under him and he was using his stick on top of the boards to get back up but Fischer cross checked him in the lower backs 2 to three more times. Not surprisingly Scott soon after that incident Scott's back problems got bad. He was so pissed by being cross checked in a vulnerable position he really beat the crap out of Fischer. Well Fischer was the guy, who knows maybe as a delayed reaction to the beat down, who had the seizure in a much later game on the bench.

Warsofsky was loudly shouting at the end of the game on camera, "You F***ing P***y" over and over again, I can only imagine at the ref. So... yeah. Not the most effective shouting, but now I am closer to understanding why Torts said "I can see some of me in his style."

Friends gave us on their on the glass seats for this game and the hit happened pretty much right in front of us. His response was amazing and he remains one of my wife's favorite players to this day because of it.

I think Scott Thornton had back problems earlier, so it made him super pissed that Fischer deliberately targeted him.

Thornton would be able to take care of it himself. These Sharks have to learn to do that. Macklin can't count on someone else to fight for him. There really isn't anyone on the roster you can count on, hoping he is on your shift.

The Sharks are dangerous enough to beat any team. So other teams will target the children and inexperienced youth that the Sharks are dressing. Kind of why I wanted Macklin to wait one more year.
