You don't get it if you believe what he said. Every team in the league has 5 players to build around. Small collection of Larkin/Raymond/Edvinsson/Seider isn't a dominate force or something a team can't scheme against.
Red Wings fans are the only fan base that think's it's a crime to trade prospects for legit NHL players. Afraid to pay talent but love guys like Veleno/Motte for(whatever) reason.
Let's call up 4 more prospects like Marco Kaspers and pretend they're walking in the HOF because I liked him pre-draft vs something more similar to Darren Helm, young, in his prime.
I'm waiting for a trade/move, lots of smoke, I think one's coming soon. This season is shot though in so many ways, and if they DO NOTHING, next season is shot too. This is like that hinged point in Yzerman's tenure where he's either going to turn it around or this is where the wheels fell off. Outside of prospects there isn't much to be happy about and they work out as often as random hooks up the bar.
