Laf has been much better than season 1 Kakko, but there’s definitely something to the coaching of these kids. There’s no way these high talent picks aren’t being told “don’t try too much”

To be fair, I think it's also how they were playing before the NHL. They didn't have to keep moving as much in junior/Liiga. Kakko I think in his interviews said it still came to him as a surprise how much harder you need to work in the NHL, and it took time to learn how to play here.
