Forget about paying the picks and prospects. They simply have no prospects of value. The badly need a retool once matthews resigns for the sake of replenishing their pool for the sake of cheap contracts (ELCs)

Knies is their "big" prospect. Fraser Minten seems more like a 3rd liner, and Topi Niemela is a promising RD. Then their 2023 1st.

They're unwilling to trade Knies, the other 2 won't do it. Hawks will get legit offers. Kane would have to pull a Toronto only move for them to get him. I don't see Kane doing that.
