Forward & Team Captain DUSTIN BROWN said:
"I think we worked hard. We didn’t get discouraged coming into this. This is a hard building to play in. They’re the best team in the league. We battled against different things each period. I mean, the four-minute kill in the first was a huge kill for us. We come out of that period down one-nothing and it gives us a chance to battle back. We had a huge period from our fourth line. I thought they were probably – actually our…so called fourth and third lines – were probably our best two lines in the third. They found a way to get us that first goal to tie it up, and from there I thought we limited their chances pretty well, maybe with the exception of the end there with that six-on-five. Again, I think a lot of credit goes to our third and fourth lines tonight and the way they played."
Forward & Alt. Captain ANZE KOPITAR said:
"We didn't score the last two games, so it was nice to get on the board and off that schneid, Coming in [to United Center] and scoring five goals, it's a big deal. We just stuck with it and it paid [off] in the end."
Rookie Forward TYLER TOFFOLI said:
"It was just a good breakout. Slava made a nice pass to me. We were talking before we did the faceoff. I guess it went exactly as we planned. I think the guys before the game told me that this was going to be the best barn you play in on the road. I prepared myself as much as I could, but I mean, the anthem, and then just playing against the Chicago Blackhawks was a great feeling. It was good to get the two points."
Defenseman DREW DOUGHTY said:
"We don’t give up. I think one of our best qualities is no matter what the score is, we always fight to try to get back in the game. Tonight there was a bunch of times where we made mistakes for them to score their goals, and it easily could have gone the other way. But the captains were on us. They made sure that everyone on this room was believing that we could come back."
Head coach DARRYL SUTTER said:
"We [got] good games out of our third and fourth lines, and Brownie [scored] a big goal at the end. It’s simple. They’re probably not happy with the way they played, and if we had lost, we wouldn’t have been happy with the way we played.” (On the goal to tie the game late in the second period) … “Kane’s goal just before that could’ve deflated [us]. We make a mistake again – our left defenseman. So it’s good to come right back. They got the call right, because Toronto has six guys to make the call, so it must be right."

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -
March202013Schedule_zpsf9f99f21.png

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

McDonald's playing this time. Watch him get crushed.

I wonder what the Blues fans' response will be when they lose this. Last time it was injuries to their second line.

Here's my standard picture of TJ Oshie vs other Blues players:

"You only won the season series because Andy McDonald was injured"

"You only swept because you cheated and injured Petro!"

Game 2 of last years series, the last Blues home game of the season was a thing of beauty, game was over on the first shift.

Excited for Iginla's first game. Can't believe all he cost us was Richardson, rights to Lauri Tukonen, and an Aki Berg signed jersey! Thanks Feaster!

I am worried about tonight's game. I heard the blues got read the riot act after their loss to calgary.
They are going to come out hard, fast and strong.

Blues fan here...looking forward to another hard hitting game. I really respect the way you guys play, and you received the ultimate reward last year. I'm hoping out guys can learn a thing or two from you guys, and learn what it takes to win it all. Good luck tonight, hope both teams stay healthy and let the most deserving team win.

Nice post. Let's hope for a nice, clean game.

Extra skaters today were 15-25-44-45, according to Jim Fox. The Kings Insider guy said Quick didn't even hit the ice.

It appears that Sutter is warming up to Toffoli. After seeing that deadly wrister against Chicago, how could he not?

Good post.
I hope for a very physical game, but with no injuries as well.
The first period in our last matchup was amazing!!

Never could hate on the Blues, we shared so much in common in coming into the league at the same time not winning the Cup for so many years. A lot of empathy there. Obviously if Kings can't win it would go for the Blues to finally get that monkey off their backs, but I must say, I can't stand Stewart. He needs to tone down his rhetoric and on-ice antics and let his play speak for him.

Yeah, Stewart is the only thing keeping me from totally liking the Blues.

Big test tonight, I feel. We've been losing tight games to teams behind us over the past week or so. Let's buck that trend tonight.

All of this for me as well

Yep--plus they have plenty of unfinished business with us--gonna be easy for the Blues to get up to play this evening in front of their fans. Expecting a bruisefest.

And an Amen all around.

Stewart can suck it, but I like the rest of the Blues and they're basically our evil twins. Any other night, and I'd cheer them on...tonight, I hope we break them  we could use a mini-streak here especially with the difficulty of this road trip (Chi/STL/Min/DAL(ugh)/PHX).

I was a little annoyed the other night when NBC's Dave Strader said so nonchalantly that the Kings weren't going to win the division, the Ducks were too far ahead. We have 32 points available and trail these guys by 10 points. As of this moment we have two more games against them as well as a game in hand. We win those three game games and that cuts the lead to 4 points.

If the Quack pack spirals any further out of control and we win our games against them I think we still have a serious shot at sneaking in at the last second. I would normally dowplay the importance of winning the division but the Kings have been such a dominant home team that I think it's a goal worth setting. If they are going to make it happen, it has to begin tonight.

The Blues will be very hungry to beat us tonight. Better strap in tight.
