"Why did they score on that first shot though is the question. Its called mix up in coverage because forwards are late picking up guy coming back.Lomberg cut across and Carlo had him but when he left the puck there Carlo let him go to get out on that guy with puck setting up to shoot .We know Lomberg tapped it in open cage but if Carlo is able to continue on in coverage there with him then that goal never happens. Its really important the Bruins clean this stuff up because they are not type team that will out firepower playoff teams.Anyways that is how I saw that. They aldo started the game with McAvoy icing the puck instead of taking one more stride but he saw the hit coming.Little things are big things with this type team if you want to compete with so called better teams."

I don't think that was on the forwards, it was on Lohrei. It was a 2on2 cross, and when Carlo left his guy to step up on the puck carrier, Lohrei should have picked up Lomberg. 2on2 crosses are confusing and require communication and practice. There was a game there other night where there was a cross and the puck carrier had a breakaway from the top of the circle because of it.

A third period come from behind win an excellent sign moving forward. Has to be huge for this team's confidence as they have seemed to cash it in all too often when behind this season.

Pasta's effort was great all night. But before OT, he was fumblin' and bumblin' scoring chances all night. But 3 on 3 is his wheelhouse. Hope they go to OT against Edmonton. McDavid vs. Pasta. Shouldn't take long to end that one.

Looking like Coyle is back to RW. B's now have enough right wingers for 2 teams.

Swayman came up big in the 3rd when they needed him.

McLaughlin with a pure hustle goal to tie the game. Good things happen when you go to the net.

Giveaways: Pasta (4), McAvoy (3), Zadorov (3), Oesterle (3). But Calgary's Rasmus Andersson top everyone with 5.

Carlo continues to struggle.

Beecher won all 8 of his faceoff chances.

From 3-4 games ago having possibly having the worst 3rd periods ever to Saturday and last night having one of best....what a turn around!!!

About 1/2 way through the 2nd they just got better at everything to the point of dominating the Flames in the 3rd.

Soooooo..... Sway or Korpi? Which one vs the Oil?
Swayman plays vs Edmonton and Korpisalo gets Buffalo on Saturday.

Gotta go with Korpi. Sway needs rest
Play Sway in Edmonton then give Korpi Saturday vs. Fluffalo. You can't have him sit that long without playing. Sway gets 3 days of rest before the game vs. Washington. The team is off for Christmas until the 27th when they do a back to back home and home with CBJ and they will each get a start.

For a player who was a long time Flame / whirlwind Canuck and who has had his early struggles with the Bruins, it looks like the back to back games with the former teams may be just what the Doctor ordered for Elias Lindholm.
He looked really good last night.

Shitty since 2011.

It has long been a souce of wonderment to me that a team with the talent it has been able to put out there on the PP year after year can be so crap at it. There have been a few seasons where it was middle of the pack, like last season, and I'd take that right now in a heartbeat.

Same.

I liken their power play woes to the Flyers goalie woes. Somehow neither team has been able to solve their problem frustrating fans season after season.

That would officially be the Ford Horseshit Power Play.

LOL yep, I say that every time on NESN, or the Horse's Ass Powerplay. Just brutal. I don't get excited when they get a PP any more. I like their chances better 5 on 5 to get a goal, and with the way scoring has gone most of this season, that's saying something

I pay attention to the PP so I can see what exactly McAvoy will do to allow the shorthanded team a great scoring opportunity.
