so I think that gives Laine sole 3rd spot in PP goals in the league
People saying 'scores too much on the PP' or 'not enough 5on5 g' I just.. I mean he's SCORING right??

He could score 40 PP goals for all I care I mean what are we doing here lol

We are in NO position to complain about a guy scoring PP goals when we've been what DEAD last on the PP how many years now?

Bah

I'm beyond fed up with Newhook. I know his supporters were screaming "where are the haters now?" after his 1 good period this season, but he's beyond useless. Kills the play in the offensive zone and doesn't bring a defensive game or physicality to be an effective bottom 6 player. Block Colorado's number Kent.
For someone with speed and a shot, I don't get how plays just die on his stick

I'm kind of watching in the background but I thought he was pretty good.... had a couple good sequences turned out to be good scoring chances.

I don't think he's playing well at 5v5 but I also don't really care. As you said, scoring is scoring. He'll get his legs back eventually and the 5v5 stuff will come.

Eh, he's been alright this game.

He plays with Dach, who is struggling and probably still a bit nervous about getting hurt.

Laine isn't ready 5 on 5. He's playing catch up.

Newhook has had a nice rush earlier and has been buzzing a bit.
He's played plenty with Cole and Nick doing absolute f*** all.

I counted many missed plays. On pace for a 15-point season despite all the offensive opportunities in the world.

Newhook demotion
Evans promotion

Why not try Evans at 2C?

Because Evans is succeeding with the matchups his line provides, why rob from Peter to pay Paul.

You're just hurting Evan's by moving him imo. He's doing great where he is, and he's fresher for PK from not playing 2nd line minutes as well.

It's the "Buddy Ryan syndrome". Former Philadelphia Eagles head coach who traded away receiver Chris Carter because "he only caught touchdowns".

It certainly doesn't help when Dach is the center men on his line and he too is struggling to get his legs back. Laine will get there and hopefully we can get him some productive linemates once he does

Only when Demidov gets here

And *only* because it would make our 2nd unit THAT much better and it could help Kirby a lot

But I'm in favor of the notion, again *only* when Demidov gets here
It is such a problem to have. Three trigger men and only one #1 PP unit. It's going to be crazy.

Slaf is perfect down low and Suzuki in the high slot.....holy hell he was made for that position. So smart.

Hutson on the point and teams have to back off him opening up lanes. It's crazy how good this PP looks right now.

BTW Slaf did not get point on the last goal but he was at the right position bothering the goalie and dman.

Yep, that's what I want Slaf doing. Even if he averages 60-65 points in his prime being a big body protecting pucks and causing chaos in the crease he is a valuable player that's hard to find.

I think he'll be better than 60-65 just an FYI so Noone gets upset

Looking great 5 on 5 tonight so far.

Him and Demi on the same line is just going to be bananas
