Because they are trying to get more out of Dach and Newhook and because both of them lack the versatility of Heineman. He hits, he forechecks and he is making Armia and Dvorak look like decent players. Neither of those guys could do that.

I agree that he should be higher in the lineup and is a 30 goal scorer waiting to happen. If he stays healthy he is gonna be something special.

Granted the sabres and Detroit are shit, but with rebuilds sometimes, young, talented teams just figure it out.
We have holes, but the top 6 is become kind of scary…along with solid special teams.
