Bruins are scared to carry the puck into the offensive zone. Calgary is doing a good job defensively.
Yes, surviving that period was about it for Boston. They will have to increase their intensity and play to take any points out of this game.

Calgary looks much better. Sadly I think Saturday is probably going to be the only good performance of the trip. We've been on the road for a while at this point. Gotta hope Swayman can steal us a point or two.
This is such a weird game.
Everyone is saying Boston "survived" that period but i'm sitting here like "survive what? Calgary barely did anything outside of one good chance" Winning battles and racking up shots are good but like, you still need to do something with those things.
I don't disagree they looked like shit, but still.

Stayed out of the box, so that was about the only thing the 18 skaters did very well that period, but Swayman was sharp. Need to be quicker next two periods.

Good pace. Calgary carried the play, but the Bruins had the best scoring chance.

A few of there chances didn’t work out but they could have had a few more in close chances . but there passing wasn’t good . In my opinion if periods 2 and 3 are similar to what we saw in the first ,Bruins will lose .
