Here we go again. Blues vs Devils last time we played them we snuck out with a win after only playing 20 minutes. Hopefully the Blues realize they have a full 60 minute game tonight. Faksa still out and Texier is out and Sunny back in. Saad demoted to 4th line.

Another big test tonight. NJ's speed is going to be tough to handle. I could see a similar game to the Dallas game.

I'll happily take a point here, but I fear we don't get it. 4-2 Devils.

Blues beat us in our barn last game, the two teams that always worry me are the Blues and Predators, wanna say good luck but nah... 😁

Interesting that, based on the lineup I’m seeing, Saad is a 4th liner and torop getting another start in the top 6.

I wasn’t sure what was up with that last game but guessed it was a way to combat a back to back - throw him up there with his energy for a game. I checked the shift log and he was out with Kyrou the entire game, although he was skipped a few times at the end it seems.

I feel last game torop did okay?

And now it seems it’s a thing.

I like torop. Hope it works. Imma refer to him as daddy long legs from now on.

Rumour was that Saad was a healthy scratch because a trade involving him was imminent. The word is out that Army isn't through dealing in a desperate effort to fortify The Blues' roster to have a better chance to assure a playoff spot (not because he thinks they can have a deep run, but rather to ensure a better environment for The Blues' younger players to continue development in games that mean something and in a winning rather than losing atmosphere.

If you believe all the whispers online, Saad is probably gone after the holidays. Sounds like the Blues have been floating his name out there for awhile. Devils are a really good team and I think it is safe to say the new coach bump has settled. Need our A effort tonight.

Jamie's suit is okay, but JK's is a mess. Love the colors on JK's suit, but three different patterns? ugh

I wouldn't be surprised to see Saad gone before the Roster freeze in a couple days. tbph

I honestly don’t know why anybody would want Saad. If he was any good, we’d keep him. He sucks and nobody will give more than a 3rd for him.

I would agree with you except for Army's reputation for doing what's right for a player. Remember when he traded Bortuzzo to give him a chance to continue his career and get playing time? Saad just had a baby if I remember correctly. Trading him right before the holiday's would be kind of rough. That's why I think Army will hold off.

I mean, if he trades him to Pittsburg it might be a Xmas dream come true.

I think the problem is that we gave his icetime to Holloway. Like all of it.

And then the other bit of his icetime to Neighbors.

There’s no power play, no juicy offensive zone draws with offensive D, no elite offensive center.

But from a contender’s standpoint - if we retain him down to 2.25 he absolutely has value imo.

Most teams will be able to maneuver to fit 2.25 into their cap at deadline day and can manage that the following season. The only challenge is finding him a destination that will give him icetime.

Same reason we would want Fowler. Maybe a team thinks a change of scenery could benefit him, these 30 games doesn't erase years of production he has had. Plus he is a proven playoff guy. It won't be a massive return but someone will give up a 2nd or 3rd is my guess.

Big clean hit by Toropchenko. I have always been a fan but feel like he hasn't been as physical this year as last. Nice to see him throw the body like that, hopefully a sign of things to come.

Me too. Something is a little off with him this season, so far.
