How many games will it take for the coaches to figure out the second unit is miles better than the joke of a first unit? ****ing switch them already.

Best game of Colin's career. Spooner, Hayes, and even Nash having good games. WHAT IS GOING ON?

I ragged on Nash hard all week, but he's been pretty good this game.

Still need to see some production at some point.

HERE IT IS HERE IT IS! This is hilarious and well done!!:laugh::laugh:

Hahahahaha, **** the Cowboys.

I didn't know they were allowing NFL stuff on the GDT today, but since they are, I've been a Cowboys fan since the 70's and think they are finally headed in the right direction since the 90's.

...so I say **** Rob Riggle, Eli and the Giants, and whiny Brady and the Pats too....hahaha.

Bergeron is a cancer on that first PP unit.

He's in a terrible spot there in that bumper position with the current set-up. He's pretty much in no mans land.

So much of last year's set-up was a mini-triangle down-low between the two leftys Eriksson and Spooner with Bergeron, with both guys being able to feed Bergeron for one-timers off their forehand.

Now with Backes, the right-handed shot standing more in front than off to the side, that's taken away, and the puck spends much more time up top on the sticks of Krug and Krejci, leaving Bergeron sort of on an island as a passing option for on one player (Marchand/Spooner).

Best game of the year by far. Few errors here and there, but you'll take those when he's playing like this offensively. When he is skating, moving and being creative he's a very impressive player. I think he should be on the top unit PP. His shot and skating would be a welcome addition there and clearly the combinations they are trying right now are not working. Too many slow deliberate players. It's okay to break up all the big guys. Make 2 solid units and split them 50/50.

On the negative side from today's game.... Bergeron. It pains me to say it but he is seriously struggling. More bad plays/decision in todays game than almost his whole career. I keep going to myself "was that Bergeron who did that?" because I'm just shocked by it. He was always the epitome of doing everything perfectly but he has been a far cry from that this year for whatever reason (hopefully the early injury still nagging) and a very far cry from that today. Would love him to be involved on a goal here in the 3rd to salt it away.

and hes too easily covered with the way its set, never in a good passing lane either. They need to take it down low behind the net and make it happen with good passing and one timers, the current set up sucks, take it low and things happen, I dont know why they dont do it more often

Agreed. It's bizarre that the coaching staff continues with something that is not effective. Putting Krejci up high is not utilizing his best assets. I understand Krug up high even though his shooting pct is more abysmal than even last year. At least he has a rocket of a slapper and can put it on goal, as well as move the puck. Surely the staff can figure out how to get good personnel on the ice together and put those players in the best position to be successful. I know that Sacco is easy to take shots at, rightfully so, but at some point CJ and the other coaches need to step in and say enough is enough.
