I would like to see Poitras brought back up and send Beecher down to Providence as he has done very little in the points production, 0 points in 5 games. I just hope we can win the next two in Alberta, won't be easy but if they play the same game as they did last night it is a very good possibility.
Beecher now requires waivers. Think he'd pass?

I am here. Glad they play well against Van, but they still are not good.
The B's still haven't had certain players play up to their potential/capabilities yet, so I'm remaining cautiously optimistic they can improve as the season goes on

Marchand is finally looking like the Marchand we've been accustomed to, and Pasta may have turned the corner last night, but I'm still waiting for other players to round into form ...and if they do, it may be an exciting season yet

I watched on DVR.

Not falling for the banana in the tailpipe.

Get ready for three more months of this.

Secondary scoring kicks in. They keep the puck out of their own net. Go on a run and bank points. Move up as high as 3rd in the Atlantic.

They’ll eventually slide back to being a fringe playoff team, which is what they are. It’s going to be a rollercoaster of a 2nd half of the season. However, Detroit, Buffalo, and Ottawa aren’t yet ready for prime time. (And you start to wonder if they’ll ever be)

Yeah pretty much. Good win and really enjoyable game. Team is fun to watch when they play that way. But I'm not falling for it, not yet anyway. Fringe they are and yeah they will probably make playoffs and feed us some hope, and the Jacobs will tick off their usual primary season goal. And probably not more than that. But can only take the ride as usual.

The Atlantic never seems to change much. I think our of those 'always nearly but not quite yet' teams Ottawa looks closest to finally breaking through. They are building something, Ullmark is starting to get it together. Still defensively suspect but they have stacks of talent that is continuing to mature and perform more consistently. Between them, us, the Bolts and a couple of Metro teams, the WC battle is still going to be hard-fought.

He had 2 good weeks in October and looked like he was turning into something.

I know he generally isn’t hurting them but he’s also not doing a whole lot.

When he’s skating/hustling he’s definitely noticeable…..but that’s often the case with fast guys, they can seem like they’re contributing way more than they are.

31 Games and 2-5-7

Really should be doing more than a point a week, IMO.

Not really - what fourth liners really put up 30+ points?

Coyle has 9 in 32 games with a crap ton more time + pp time. And makes 5x as much. Beecher is fine in his role. He’s young, he’s cheap, and he still has potential to improve a bit.

I think it is wonderful that David Pastrnak is adjusting his role to that of playmaker since there is clearly something wrong with his shooting ability. What a great game from #88!!! :thumbu:
