Somewhere in there there must be a great parody...

On the 12th day of Christmas the Jackets gave to us
12 teams a-sulking,
11 teams a wondering
10 teams a mazed
9 teams a fraid
8 teams a bused
7 teams a wed
6 teams a weakening
5 Hartsy goals
4 teams a running
3 teams a hurtin
2 teams a missing
and Ryan Lambert in a **** pot. (alternate take: and Al Montoya in friggin' goal)

Merry Xmas or Happy Holidays (your choice) y'all

You always add a good dash of humor to the threads.

Still recovering from last night but couldn't bring myself to sell tonight's game. Buddy have mine has made a killing this week.

I want to witness all the Ws I possibly can after all these seasons of despair.

Wife: Who are we playing tonight?
Me: Montreal
Wife: Are they any good?
Me: They're like the 2nd or 3rd best team in the league.
Wife: Isn't Pittsburgh is the best team in the league?
Me: Yeah........ actually WE are the best team in the league! :amazed:

Haha, I had an identical conversation with my wife, as I like to share when the CBJ play.
Me: Another good night for the CBJ, they beat the team they were behind and have now jumped up to first place.
Wife: Oh good, in their division?
Me: Not quite....the whole league.
Wife: :amazed:
Me: So, they play again tonight vs. Montreal - the team they beat 10-0 - and I really want to see this game. I know we're going to Xmas dinner with your side of the family tonight, so I'm just going to have the game playing on my phone, just to catch a bit of it......
Wife:

Solution: family dinner in the arena district. Bratwurst and beer for everyone (of age)

Cincinnati, Oh
It wouldn't surprise me if Montoya asked to start this one. I think he'll be locked in and ready to go. It won't be as easy as last time.

They also played last night and had to travel from Montreal so we're at an advantage there. Hopefully the guys aren't too hungover.

3-2 Blue Jackets. :)

With Montoya in need we have a good shot at heading into the break with the streak alive. I do think it'll be a bit of a crapshow with both teams probably tired and raring for the break, but if it descends into run-and-gun I take the Jackets every time. 5-3 CBJ

Montreal will kill us as they are THE Original Six team!

Nothing to see here. Same Old Jackets. Move Along.
Driving around Charlotte, WBT, the local AM powerhouse station went their top of the hour newscast and they have a sports segment at the end. They talked about Cam Newton and the Panthers first, they then said the "Columbus Blue Jackets are the hottest team in the NHL" and talked about our winning streak and how we just smoked the defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Pittsburg Penguins. I'll guarantee that's the first time they've ever talked about the CBJ.

Habs fan coming in peace. I'm glad hockey is getting more and more popular in colombus.

It's a nice sport and it deserves more popularity.

Good luck for tonight guys and I'll be sure to keep an eye on that werenski kid.

He's good.

I'll be there tonight for the first time since opening night. If we lose, you know who to blame.

By my eyes, the ticketmaster map looks like about 1000 tickets left for the game. The upper bowl is almost completely sold out. Club seats and lower middle have the most left of any sections.

A sellout looks possible.

Does anyone remember the last time the Jackets sold out 2 consecutive games-not including the playoffs a few years back?

I'll put this here in case u guys missed it at end of last gdt. A quick hello from a friendly Rangersfan and congrats on an awesome beatdown of those Pens who just piled it on against us 2 nights ago in Pitt. I've been here before and love your team, shame I'm so damned Loyal to my Rangers. We have something in common for sure.....hate those Pens. Four games in hand, make sure you don't waste them. Our rough schedule has taken a toll on my team. (tied for most gp)

Would love another 10-zipper tonight......saw the last one. Did I tell you I hate those Habs as well? Lol. You would think they invented the sport!

Not feeling good about this one.

Reasons
1. Jackets had a huge emotional win last night
2. Winning streaks don't last forever
3. Montreal will use 10-0 loss as motivation
4. Montreal lost last night and is not accustomed to losing two nights in a row

Prediction
Montreal 4
Jackets 2

I expect Montreal to come out flying as it would be a statement game showing that the 10-0 game was a fluke. If Columbus can handle that storm then I say they win. Montreal will be tired after their first period push.

3-2 w

How is the temperature?

I stuck two meat thermometers to it, one is creeping in on 70°C (158°F) and the other is about 73°C (164°F). I think the former is more accurate as it's stuck in maybe a little bit meatier spot. If they keep that 3°C difference I think I'll target about 75*°C with the thermometer now showing the lower reading. But I'll have it ready and glazed come game time

I'm regularly hearing my wife say "You're not on the hockey boards again:rant:?"

To the point that I respond now "No...I'm looking at porn."

Go big or go home:D
