I get that we're playing one of the best teams in the league so maybe there's some bias in terms of relativity, but this is a comparatively awful performance. It's like the majority of the team simply saw who we were playing and gave up before the game even started. Yes we're most likely going to lose before the game even started, but at least f***ing try. You're a group of professionals for f***'s sake. This performance is pathetic. If you're going to go down, then go down swinging. Don't go down with a whimper. They are going to their designated spots. The problem is that their spots are completely covered by the Avs gameplan and Tocchet doesn't know how to adjust in order to nullify the strengths of the Avs. It's not a performance issue so much as it's like calling the same run play in football 100% of the time.

They’re not the 02 redwings or the 70’s canadiens. You can beat any team if you show up and have some pride in yourselves. It’s like we resign ourselves to lose the Avs simply because they’re the Avs. I don’t care if they’re way better on paper, you don’t just stop playing against them.
