St. Louis
I was at the game tonight. He looked pretty solid and not out of place. His FO percentage was 55% although I can't remember how many draws he actually took.

Looking at the boxscore, looks like 9 draws. So he won 5/9. I would be nice if he could snag that 2C spot and push Schenn down to more favorable matchups as 3C. I am worried the defensive play needed at center will limit his forechecking though. He certainly has the legs for it though.

Quite a weekend for Fowler. He’s only been with Anaheim since he came up into the league at 19 years old. Gets traded to STL yesterday morning. Flies halfway across the country to make the Dallas game last night, flies to St Louis
Early this morning, and play 24 minutes and be a +2 tonight.

I get the arguments for and against that kind of trade, in this kind of situation, but that’s a heck of a weekend and a heck of a way to handle the weekend. What a response. Bet it’s one he will remember. Hope he can keep building on it, but quite a nice introduction.

Fowler and Parayko lead the ToI by almost 3 minutes.
Fowler will probably have his ups and downs here, he could surprise us like Leddy though. This game is why he was brought in though. Someone that is relatively reliable to play big minutes, so that Monty doesn't feel that he's forced to either put Broberg or Suter in for major minutes, as Army knows that's not in the best interest of either.

For Suter, at this point, he can still be solid in a lesser role, and play up if need be, but he should not be locked in for 20+ minutes a night. For Broberg, this season is about development and confidence. Let's not even try to risk ruining what has been a very positive season for him by forcing him into Parayko's deployment.

Why was joseph playing in Kyrous spot on that shift? Hopefully not hurt

Neither Bannister nor Monty seem to trust Kyrou on the ice in close and late situations. Seems like Buch, Torpo, Neighbours and even Walker were out there in the final minutes protecting that lead. At least Kyrou is scoring consistently, which is nice to see. Great individual play by him last night.

Neighbours keeps improving and has shown some good defensive play and instincts lately. Forget whoever was talking about him being a poor passer and playmaker, but that pass he made to Buch was pretty nice.
