Sigh.

The Bruins won the Cup in Vancouver THIRTEEN (13) years ago.

Better times, indeed.
Yep.

They won the one Cup in my lifetime.

And it was a f***ing blast that Spring and all Summer!

And they should have won more than one Cup during the ensuing window, and they whiffed badly. And it’s frustrating as shit. And I’ve killed them for it when I feel like they’ve screwed up along the way. And I’ve enjoyed the rides even when they’ve come up short.

That’s sports.

I’ve been calling for a rebuild for a while now. The team has been headed towards a cliff for what feels like forever now, and they’ve been able to avoid it up until now.

Here we are.

I took my kid to meet Santa today, and I rocked my Marchand jersey. One of the older students at the school gifted him a pair of hockey gloves and a set of shoulder pads.

I’ve been skating with the same group of guys for more than 10 years now. We won the league a few times along the way, but a lot of the guys are getting older and slowing down due to injury. It’s been a rough second half of our season, and it’s very likely that we’re going to get smoked in the first round of the playoffs tomorrow night.

So many blessings in my life. Sports are for entertainment. Win or lose, I choose to be happy.

Who’s in net for Vancouver? If the guy has a 4 GAA and a .820 save percentage the Bruins are f***ed.

That said, some wrasslin & a UFC tonight. So I’ll probably watch that instead. Sad to say that, honestly.
I heard Jim Carey is coming out of retirement to shut the Bruins out tonight.

show up to play, keep it simple, crash the net, shoot the puck, no passengers, clog the zone, clear the net front, make timely saves, short shifts, finish your checks, active sticks.....or play like they've been playing and get a lopsided L....old time hockey on the menu

What a slap in the face for Parker Wotherspoon. Coming back to his home town and getting scratched. Carlos, Sterling, Zadorov, have all been playing horribly, maybe scratch one of them to help their motivation. What a horrible coaching effort.

Depends on which Canucks team shows up. The one riding high confidence after blanking the Panthers. Or the one that takes the game off because they had a great last game. If it’s the first the Bruins will get stomped
