So was the beginning of the season a fluke?
yesSo was the beginning of the season a fluke?
the problem is "this low" is sinking the team. The conference and division are far too competitive, you can't lose 6 of 7 (or whatever it will be when all is said and done). Every team has slumps, but for whatever reason, our slumps seem to never end, and kill all momentum on the season.Think that was a high point and this is a low. They need to find the middle and be consitent. Last few years the team tends to have some type of emotional game or moment and they cant deal with it propertly and they start spiralling. Last year was the 2 game mini series vs Ottawa and this year the Larkin injury. Every season lately. Seasonal depression.
true, it's badThese ice times for our defenseman lololol
f*** off Lalonde
I think a lot of us just had incredibly elevated expectations after that beginning of the season. So was the beginning of the season a fluke?
Yzerman has secretly been 'stealth tanking' for some time now...Why are seider and walman 5th and 6th in icetime amongst dmen tonight....?
This is what the Ducks had to do too -- we are in different stages but the Ducks board had over expectations due to their hot start. It's hard to manage losses no matter what stage in terms of competiveness a team is at.I think a lot of us just had incredibly elevated expectations after that beginning of the season.
A part of learning to be a great team is learning to play through adversity and win. It's something we haven't needed to do through the rebuild thus far, but now they need to learn, and fast.
Saw that last week too...Not very comforting when considering he was supposed to be 1 of Detroit's more promising forward prospects.Tried to cheer myself up with some recent GR stats and saw Kasper is still at 2 goals.
Lord.
He better hope his key players are on board with such, otherwise the tank will not be so stealthy in the not so distant future...Yzerman has secretly been 'stealth tanking' for some time now...
Wonder how much leash Lalonde has cause this team defensively is cheeks ahoy. Year 2 should look better but only difference is this year we were able to outscore our problems.
Agreed.Wish they would come out to play from the start of the game.

His scoring upside was always in question even up to the draft. But Draper just seems to love going for guys who have "good hockey iq" above actual skill. Same with Danielson. Veleno/Kasper/Danielson are all interchangeable to me.Saw that last week too...Not very comforting when considering he was supposed to be 1 of Detroit's more promising forward prospects.
