I genuinely think the team hates Igor. And I don’t necessarily blame them. One Vezina doesn’t separate you from the pack so significantly that you should expect to be better compensated than any of your peers. Especially not at, arguably the least important position besides wing. But they play better in front of Quickie, IMO.

I would ask then why should Panarin have been justified to get the contract he did when he did?

People assumed Igor got signed finally bc trouba was traded bc of freed cap space. That's not necessarily true. That doesn't mean that the players will actually accept the truth vs untruth either.
