Universal praise has never been achieved by anyone, so I've learned not to focus on the naysayers. Why let them ruin your mood when things are going great (see example below)?

I'm living for the moment and stopping to smell the proverbial roses as they bloom this season. This is the most fun I've had as a hockey fan in years.

Watched the game with a few buddies who aren't fans. Both really were into it, but I think one of them was experiencing some side effects from the "herbal medicine", so it was just something to stare at intently, but the other one was asking all about the rules (offsides, icing, etc.), team history, why I hate the Pens so much, and was almost as excited as I was when the CBJ began to pile on in the third. So I think I've brought at least one more onto the bandwagon.

Once they left I rewatched the condensed replay and enjoyed watching it even more being able to focus on individual performances and not worry about the outcome.

While he didn't show up on the scoresheet, Matty Calvert had a GREAT game. A bunch of shots and used his speed very well. He's so underrated/unknown, but I'd say he's one of the best bottom 6 players in the league, and has a TON of heart as do most of the guys on this squad. Really aside from the first period there were no bad performances from anyone.

My favorite part of watching the replay was noticing Dubi on the bench after Boone scored the 6th goal. It was a very clear, "Let's f*****n' pour it on boys!" (I will try to find a gif)

They may have downplayed it to the media but its clear that the Jackets hate that team, and honestly I don't think Pitt was ready for that kind of intensity in a December game. And I don't blame them because as reigning champions they don't need to prove anything to the Jackets. I'm sure that changes in the next meeting.

How are the Pens fans taking this?

I had to laugh about how timid any of them were leaving the arena. Too many times in the past they'd turned the arena district into penguins-town and we walked around like subservient little siblings. Last night most were sheepish, like little brother had just broken their nose and they didn't want it happening again.

Our team without stars.. (except Bob) is playing some very intense hockey right now.. not yet consistent (first period we played scared), but really able to unite, to run plays, to hustle. Great passing, staying in our positions, rotating as the play develops. Really epitomized by the power play goal in the last 30 seconds of a 4 minute double minor for high sticking. They worked the puck, took it down low, cross the ice back across the ice stayed patient and BAMMMM!!!! cannon goes BOOOMMM!!!!!!:yo:

it's only one game in december, so it's not a big deal really. but columbus is a good team, and as a fan of the team back when they had players like marc denis, this success is good to see.

we'll see you in the playoffs!

No one here is assuming that this game means we are going to dominate your Pens.

We are, however, allowed to enjoy the win from last night, and that is all that is happening.

Wasn't that fantastic? Probably the most satisfying regular season game I've been to. Gotta think the streak ends tonight...

Yeah, without a doubt the happiest I've ever left the arena. I didn't get a chance to go the playoff games.... hopefully that's changing this year :D

And the Arena District was loud and buzzing with CBJ fans post-game

It seems like the CBJ fans had a really good showing. Either that or the Pittsburgh fans didn't have much to cheer about. Definitely a fun game

A quick hello and congrats on an awesome beatdown of those Pens who just piled it on against us 2 nights ago in Pitt. I've been here before and love your team, shame I'm so damned Loyal to my Rangers. We have something in common for sure.....hate those Pens. Four games in hand, make sure you don't waste them. Our rough schedule has taken a toll on my team. (tied for most gp)

Went to work today in full CBJ gear. The CBJ logo pumped out proudly. Have not lost the smile on my face. Nothing better than beating the Pens (well I hate the Rags worse but that's for another day ;)).

Exactly. Now, when we finally win a playoff series against Pittsburgh, THEN we'll rub it in their faces... HARD!
