That Kakko dump in is why he's never gonna score, he had all the room in the world if he could skate but he had to settle for throwing the puck into the corner and losing possession.
Exactly my thoughts. The devils will take that as far as they can and drop a pass or take a slap shot. Kakko, just a dump in. Hes was a #2 draft pick for a reason. He needs to take that chance. He has something to prove.

Kakko should have pulverized he dman Before the penalty, instead he pulls up.

Im not a hit win, but you have to force the dude into an error, not pull up. Lots of anchors on this roster.

Yea because this organization insists on jamming round pegs into square holes. Kakko is not a transition guy, he’s a zone guy. They don’t play players to their strengths. They try to make everyone Barclay Goodrow and get pissed when he isn’t.

I don’t think that’s how that works. Listen, Trouba is an Oaf, but it’s a new play. The players on the ice are responsible at that time.
All he had to do was get the puck out of the zone.

He didn’t, forcing Igor to make a save.

One Devil player later it was in the back of the net.

Trouba is awful.

I think what some people miscontrue Goodrow to he is a Fast/Blackwell type player who actually looked *somewhat* not entirely out of place when filling the RW slot of Panarins line.

Yes, they were absolutely not on the right line and were out of place, but atleast they had a touch of ability to play up.

Goodrows just not that. He wasn't even the driver of his line with Coleman and Gourde.

He either needs to play 4C or play RW with Kreider and Trocheck on the most expensive 3rd line ever.

He should be nowhere near Panarin or Zibanejads lines

If we take the popular assumption that our high draft picks are being coached to make shitty plays, wouldn't also stand to reason that they'd be unhappy about it?
Why do we hear nothing about how unhappy it makes them?
Even if you say that them speaking out would lead to less ice time, what do they have to lose? If they are truly being neutered they'd be happy to take the hit and get traded away
