Also, why is it every time we play Dallas it's vs. Lehtonen at the top of his game, but every other time I see them play, it's Bachman or some other sieve?

I've noticed that as well.

Lettin'in played last night at Colorado, so maybe he'll be tired for tonight's game.

Want to win this game since it'll be a tough weekend vs Chicago and Vancouver. They gotta play better defense this time. I don't want to see another 3 empty net goals with guys wide open on the opposite post.

Anyone else surprised that with Dallas depth up front they are where they are?
Their D is definately not that great but I thought they would be better.

Whitney missed half the season, Roy and Benn have missed some games, and Ryder was dealt for Cole.

They're about where I thought they'd be, which is where they've been for the last few seasons. Close enough to knock on the door, and a couple bounces here or there determine if they make the playoffs.

Jagr went there for the money. I don't see why else a guy that has spent his NHL career in the East, and mostly in the Atlantic division, all of a sudden goes to a team with some of the worst travel in the league, which hasn't been a playoff team for years, much less a contender.

I would think Whitney went there because of the 2 year deal he got at his age. Probably more overall money than any 1 year deal he may have been offered.

Dallas is in a weird situation, sort of like Calgary. Good enough to almost make it, not bad enough to get the talent they need in the draft, and sort of just wasting years. So they go out, change the look of the team, bring in other and/or more veterans, but it still doesn't quite work.

When Dallas spent crazy amounts of money in the late 90's, they could buy a contender. Without that money, Dallas just isn't a big destination for players. Maybe that changes some with realignment. But to me, like the Kings, and any team not in a select few cities, the Stars are one of those teams that have to bottom out before they have a chance to be really good again.

Nolan in for Toffoli. I like Toffoli playing but not at the expense of Nolan at this time, Nolan rocks!

You may be right. Per Jim Fox, Toffoli was one of the extra skaters. Looks liike Penner is back up on the 2nd line and Nolan will slot back on the 4th.

:sarcasm: "Pucks in deep, traffic in front, shots on the net" :sarcasm:

It's only a matter of time before TT gets reassigned. Although it's fun to watch TT play, the Kings are a better team with Penner and Nolan in the lineup.

The Kings are 3-0 when Toffoli is in the line-up outscoring opponents 12-4. Toffoli is at nearly a point per game rate. ;):D

Sucks that toffoli is out but we were getting bullied by the yotes last game so I for one like Nolan and Toffoli wish we could have both in but everyone is doing good which I'm not used to saying.

Kings vs Ducks western conference final. Book it.
Or WCSF -- with today's seedings all it would take for it to be a 2nd-round matchup would be the seeds to hold except for the 3/6 series. That would lead to Chicago/Vancouver and Anaheim/LA as the WCSF matchups.

That would be awesome.

Kings need to come with a focused effort and take care of business. If this were an 82-game regular season, it is a definite trap game.

I'm hoping the way our last game against the Stars turned out will keep them from sandbagging this one.
For the love of god, don't let Jagr go anywhere without a defender draped all over him! I dont care if he is going to the bathroom!

Our pressbox watching their pressbox, and Richardson in their tunnel!

I think we're in a better position than the Flames. We were in a similar position until we've started to draft some good talent and make some trades for more assets. Right now we're just kind of in transition with sone vets in the mix to mentor younger guys and allow a stopgap until our prospects are ready to make the jump. Unfortunately the only real bright spot on defense has been Dillon. He's played exceptionally well considering being undrafted and a rookie. We're all hoping that guys like Oleksiak and Larsen can figure out their game at this level or that guys like Nemeth and Vance can develop into decent defensemen. We're stilk hurting for a number one guy and I dont see one in our prospect pool anytime soon unless we draft a gem or can manage to acquire one somehow in free agency.
