Let's be honest, the bar has been dropped so low that anything compared to last season would have been an upgrade.

He's playing with more energy and motivation. He's noticeable on the ice and his fight was nice but he's still not producing and he still keeps missing countless scoring opportunities.

At his current pace we are looking at another sub 20 points season. Maybe if he was paid like a 4th liner I could appreciate his contribution but I cannot overlook his contract.

At least a few years ago he was a 30 points player, we aren't even getting that no more.
Anderson is part of the leftover Montreal Bergevins!!
He has morphed into a 3rd line role killing penalties, and does it fairly well. Can't score to save his life recently....he makes too much money, ala the other Montreal Bergevins.....we have so many guys who we can scratch, it's not funny.
Anderson, Dvo, Armia, or Gally..........take your pick. These guys collectively make 20M..........20M!!

Important response game for this group... Win or lose, how well they get back up after being punched in the mouth like that will be telling about where things are at in the room

So it’s possible to get better without a full rebuild. Adding pieces. Interesting.

They had already re-built. They arrived in Winnipeg as the former Atlantic Thrashers and were shit. They drafted Schiefele 7th OA, Trouba 9th OA, Ehlers 9th OA, Morrissey 13th OA & Laine 2nd OA before finally getting consistent success. Even then they've had a couple of flame out seasons which set them up to draft Perfetti 10th OA.

There isn't a successful team today that didn't go through painful seasons to get where they are today (Oilers decade of darkness, Toronto 7 years, Colorado worse season in history, etc).

And that’s why a smart GM never overpays for bottom line types, or in Gally’s case, a player with a physical component who is undersized and on the wrong side of 30.

$20 million … that’s two top line players right there. You replace those 4 with ELC players from Laval, which can be covered by cap room the team already has or will have more of next summer. 💀

The Jets are on a bit of a rollercoaster lately. They will be pissed about their last game against VGK but I’m betting they’ll be sluggish. 5-3 Habs, damix reborn

He's Josh Anderson without any power or donkey in him
I was going to say that I find it crazy that some are saying, "He's not that bad; he's just unlucky but does other good things." He's doing worse than Anderson did on the top line in pretty much every aspect besides shooting (which Newhook isn't even doing).

He takes a shot when it is available.

I kinda feel indifferent about the game. Perhaps my level of giving a f*** about this team has finally started to near zero. It's honestly better that way. Knowing Habs this probably will be a close game and we'll here the usual commentary about how this team is headed in the right direction. But whatever.

Is Le Gros Dave ready to go?
