Throughout the last twenty-nine games, I've been consistent in my statement that we are a bottom five team, riding unsustainable luck that will cost us dearly at the draft as part of our five-year brutal rebuild, while others insist that we can actually be competitive; the rebuild is a retool; we have the pieces that we need for a cup in a few years; winning to develop now is better than drafting high, and so on.

My point is that we're terrible, contrary to the prevailing sentiments from the past few months.

But just as we weren't a good team due to our luck earlier in the season, we're also not this year's Anaheim Ducks, even if we lose this game.

There's still a lot of time to tank though. As long as we finish bottom 5, it'll be alright.
