no one should be surprised. Suzuki and Caufield have played out of their minds. We're dressing FOUR rookies on D, all of whom have played great and are developing. We traded for Dach who was a project, and has looked good as a top 3 winger for now. Slaf is developing but is only 18.
The vets have all be underwhelming and inconsistent - and therein lies the problem; especially since monahan went down and there is no one to anchor second line.
Hughes needs to figure out creative ways to get rid of all of the junk: drouin, armia, gallagher, dvorak, hoffman, dandonov...oof not an easy task.
I'm on the fence about monahan and anderson but would move them for the right price

ps our goalies are both backups.

Funny reading all this criticism of Anderson when last summer people were talking about him like a premium power forward in this league.

He's an overpaid [30-50] points player that brings speed and some grit, never shown otherwise. If someone offers a 1st pick you take it and run.
