Just like with the past two victories, it's only one game, guys. I don't think we need to dismantle the team because of one bad performance.

The only thing I think that really needs tweaking is the PK, they were a bunch of pylons out there in every game so far, and tonight Hiller wasn't helping.

I didn't like the officiating, but I think the Ducks made it easy for the refs to influence the game. They were making stupid decisions, and just weren't playing disciplined hockey. That's on the players.

I agree with this statement. It wasnt just the officiating. You can't blame 5 goals against and a shutout on the officials. Especially when you have your star player Perry fighting and being dumb. I mean c'mon now....

Fasth is playing tomorrow night. This should be interesting.

Agreed.

Allow Holland & Rakell the ability to swap between 2c & 4c while Staubitz can do better then the terrible job DSP has put out there this season.

I agree that Rakell has some nice potential, but how can you say Bonino should lose his spot. He played quite well tonight and I thought Holland was average at best.

I love how other teams fans are still surprised by corey perry when hes having a bad night o_O they act like he finds the weakest guy and jumps them... he just goes after everyone i dont think he looks or cares.

Well at least we have a chance to redeem ourselves tomorrow, i kinda expected schnieder to have a good game, even without the refs(good or bad) i dont think we were goin to beat schieder today he was lights out.

He did not play quite well. He was decent, at best. He still hasn't shown ANY ability to be a second line center, at all. Not even close.

these games are sooo frustrating and the is the reffing aside...other than a few for the 3rd line (which looks dominant) i dont think we generated any quality scoring chances. to me we didnt even test schneidz, i mean he made a few good stops but soooo many shot's seemed to be from distance/wristers....i mean teemu tattooed the post but we need more traffic and IMO when games are going this way, you have to fight for those greasey goals...anyway, shake it off, learn from it, and come out hard tomorrow against nash and find a way to get it done

That was at the end.

I agree, that the whole score can`t be blamed on the refs (but the majority of it should).
But i also wouldn`t blame Perry like that. It was just so frustrating. Not like Perry fight first time in his career. I`m with Perry in this, maybe it wasn`t the smartest move, but not by chance the dumbest.

Not to make excuses for Holland tonight, but playing 4th line minutes with worthless looking DSP is not a fair way to judge him. I want him to get a couple games playing with some players who aren't totally useless.

Rakell looked pretty decent with DSP being worthless. Maybe that is more a statement of Rakell though.

I do agree with your point though, and it is important to remember it was one game(and an ugly one at that).

When he isnt scoring he plays that way its nothing new, hate him or love him thats how he plays and thats what makes him good, im sure he got it out of his system tonight i expect he comes out and has a 3 point game tomorrow.

I'm frustrated Soj we got our ass whooped. Got shut out on our home opener. We didnt play discipline hockey tonight. If we keep this up? What's our result? Nathan Mackinnon enough said. AND we don't need Perry FIGHTING like wtf? That was overly stupid.

You're frustrated we lost.....so you want us to lose more?

Bonino hasn't earned a benching.

Agreed but he simply doesn't fit on that 2nd line. Selanne and Ryan aren't good line mates. However since Murray has built this team where they pretty much have to be on the same line. Therefore that line has to have a center who can control the puck and has great speed. Bones can't do this. He's got the hockey sense but not the physical attributes. Is it fair? No. I don't think he was any worse than Ryan or Selanne. All 3 were equally bad. Unfortunately that's the way Murray built this team.

For the record I don't think Holland would do much better. He seems like a good line partner for Ryan but not Selanne. Rakkel has the tools to be the best of the three but that's kinda extreme for such a young kid.

IMO Murray and BB are going to have to choose what to do. Keep giving Bonino chances? Keep Rakkel up because he has best tools for that line? Let Holland try for a few games? Or make a move based on bad fits? That move could be possibly moving Ryan, moving Boninio, or just adding another center by trading prospects.

There's no easy answer for that line. The fact that its a shortened season makes it even harder.

Prime example of why I said leaving Bones there this year was bad option.

I don't think Bonino should lose is spot, but Holland should get a chance to play with some talent, rather than Beleskey and the ghost that is DSP.

BTW don't crucify me, but IMO Selanne has been absolutely dreadful at even strength. Even more so than Bobby and Bonino. Constantly weak on the puck and turning it over.

The reffing was TERRIBLE, but it's not what cost us this game. We were pretty good the first couple periods at ES. Just clean up the PK and I think they'll do fine tomorrow.

I'm getting a little tired of you hoping we suck all year. I don't give a **** who we draft, I want a winning team on the ice now. **** the draft!

Agreed. How does that even make someone in the least bit happier? I'm not going into that debate though.

DSP has fallen victim to the sophmore jinx bro's, he tasted success and thought his spot was guaranteed, not as hungry, probably didn't train as hard, acted as if he didn't belong in Norfolk. he needs some humble pie, send him down to send a message

Ducks win late games with a good score - nothing on nhl.com front page. Canucks win Anaheim - there you go, it`s on front page.

That whole line has been a mess. They've played like a 4th line thus far, although they weren't as horrible tonight during ES. It just doesn't seem like a fit. Why not just split all three up? They can be better utilized in the lineup (Selanne w/ Koivu, Ryan w/ Holland/Rakell, Bonino w/ Palmieri or as 4C).

According to the main boards we already are because Anaheim is a non-traditional market

Stop reading those troll threads on the main board. Just wasting your time posting in those threads.

I'm 50/50 on Bonino. I don't think he is glaringly bad, but I think his shortcomings are being magnifyed by Bobby not giving a ****. Bobby needs to understand Teemu and Bonino are not the playmakers on that line, he's got to take some initiative and do the heavy lifting. Doesn't help that Bonino sucks at faceoffs. That part is pretty inexcusable for a #2 C.

How is Holland in the faceoff dept?

I thought we played well before the officiating became the story. We looked very dangerous, especially the full power play.

I would like Allen to stay stapled to the blue line and play a bit smarter. The interference penalty was a bit on the stupid side and he also creamed Hiller with a Vancouver player.

Damn, at least Perry gave a ****. I don`t understand those who are criticizing him

I don't want him fighting and breaking a finger, or worst a hand. It's not his role to fight and were only 3 games in. If he goes down were fd. That was a dumb move and I'm standing by it.

Bobby hasn't even come that close to scoring in 3 games. This is seriously ridicuous that a guy that talented looks this bad. I know he's streaky, but..........
