I reiterate my stance on Veleno and Rasmussen. I'm kind of over them. And I pick on them not because I think they are bad; but they are juuuuuust good enough, with the right pedigree, and low cost contracts, etc. etc. where you could convince another team to give up something of value in some kind of package for them

Said it for a while those 2 have zero future in detroit longterm . Rasmussen is the next overpaid future 4th liner

If he resigns when his contract ends for like a million to be a 4th liner I dont mind but I suspect he wont be here in a year or 2

This has a "we have to do something, ANYTHING" sort of feel to it.

We're 3 games into the 82 game season and we have 2 goalies that have played pretty well.

Ras is interesting because someone always can talk themselves into someone whose "big". Like Ras looks tough and mean and gritty, etc. etc. but he's mostly just a try-hard, deer on ice who flails around. But being that size and can skate at that cost? He's exactly the "piece' that contenders love throwing assets at at a TDL because they can fit him in the cap and he's "tough to play against" for the playoff campaign
