Game/Series management by the refs needs to stop.

Call the penalties that need to be called, like last night. Every Montréal Dman comes into any hit, scrum etc. with their stick up.

Only way a talent starved team can compete.

Montreal was complaining about the amount of calls that they got. and I am like well which ones were egregious?
And i like how no one is mentioning that they basically gave themselves a 6-5 powerplay for 6 minutes and couldn't score on that either, so what would more/less penalties woulda done?

This is where I feel the Leafs need to put their foot on Montreal's throat. Ignore the stupid stuff. I know people here tend to whinge about "being soft" but honestly, I've always found that to be bumpkis. Just be smart. Throw smart hits, don't engage them if they start stuff during the whistle, let Montreal dig themselves into their own grave. remember all that dirty crap and dish it to them in the regular season.

I would also argue - score first. Don't let Price get settled in, and force Montreal to not have to waste time being all dirty/cloggy trappy, force them to play our offensive game. then keep on the pressure.

not being egotistical - but there should be no reason the Leafs can not bring this home to Toronto being up 3-1. Montreal could make it interesting - but the leafs should be able to just take care of business.

In re: the back to back.
honestly, I would just play jack both times. i know there aren't that many back to backs, in playoffs usually but they don't usually play the backup in those do they?

Wait, wait, wait - How do you do this? Bottom of where? This is great info!

Scroll all the way down.
Next to the Post New Thread (red button) in small grey letters it says show ignored content.

when you click it you can see all the stuff that your ignored person created, but you don't have to read what they wrote.
so chances are when you note there is no GDT/PGT, whatever written - do that and it's probably there by your ignored person.

That's awesome, thanks! And it seems to only work of there is ignored content to be displayed.

Simmer is in their heads, I just hope he can walk the line and stay out of the box unless he's taking someone with him.

I hope Joe Thornton finds someone to pick on like he did with Nik Ehlers. He's not really contributing in any real way but if he can go and grind a guy into submission that would be good. I nominate Tyler Toffoli.

With the Oilers likely getting swept tomorrow it's that much more important for the Leafs to wrap this series up as quick as possible. The league will absolutely screw the winner of this round scheduling wise if it goes 6 or 7 games and Winnipeg sweeps.

Leafs have to be very careful in this game. Keep their sticks to themselves. The refs might be looking to call penalties on the Leafs after giving them so many pps last game.

Where 'Might' = 'Will'

I will be very surprised if the Habs do not have a PP within the first 5 minutes.

This is getting very old and tiring. We get it, he's not what he once was. Can we just move on ?

He's got a point, though. I have way more confidence in Campbell on the second half of a back-to-back than I do a rested Freddy. Hell, I'd take Rittich or Hutch over Andersen at this point.

That extended coach's challenge by Montreal (and how long it took to resolve) really bugged me.

Until I realized that it shows just how inferior Montreal is--and they know it. They know the only way they can win this series is if they catch the breaks. So they convinced themselves there was a chance that goal might be overturned. They're scared.

This back to back stuff is dumb. They should have started the games sooner. No reason to wait, what because Vancouver/Calgary? That's not a reason.
