Haven't seen any info about this but I think it's a solid bet that this game is a Quickie. (Edit- it's Igor)

Edstrom is supplanting Rempe. He's the better of the two players, and has more potential upside. Disagree with Larry Brooks that Jones will be the man out, not Mancini, when Lindgren returns. I think Mancini continues to bounce up and down for minutes as appropriate.

That Cuylle and Edstrom have slightly above average speed is a godsend to this forward roster.

But we'll see.

I can pull a Forsberg in practice. Can we stop acting like he's just random person you put skates on and handed a stick to first time last year.

Didn't watch Saturday's game but result doesn't totally surprise me...quick hardworking teams with some talent usually do well at the start of seasons as the "favorites" get themselves going and the Rangers aren't the greatest at taking those fast teams seriously IMO. Not to mention the new D pairs aren't exactly going to hit the ground running...

I'd like to see a real bounce back effort tonight though and clamp down defensively and Mikka needs to stop f***ing around and just start being selfish and shooting the puck

Christ, it's like the most basic thing whenever someones struggling for extended periods of time...they're always overthinking and trying to make dumb plays and then once they simplify and start shooting the puck instead they get back on track.

3 horrific calls in that game. We played more than well enough to win.

Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko (our top line right now) combined make less than Mika lol

But in all seriousness, Cuylle and Kakko look like they have taken the next step, and Chytil just looks more dominant than ever
Chytil is the driver on that line. He was the driver 2 years ago with Laf and Kakko, and him getting hurt last year was why the 3rd line didn't produce more consistently.

If Chytil can stay healthy, that line will present serious problems for teams come playoff time.

It's actually ironic. Gallant told Chytil to play like Mika. Maybe Lavi needs to tell Mika to play like Chytil.
