Campbell was the unsung hero of that period. A few too many breakdowns in our end that he bailed us out of.

Good to see Tampa end up getting the extra 2 out of that scrum - somewhat weak call, but Tampa's got away with a pretty big hold on Brodie on the prior shift when hemmed in.

Not sure...Paul and Killorn suddenly acting a little tougher.
If the refs keep this up and actually call the game I don't mind this at all.. it's when the refs let this garbage keep going unchecked that forces ye to play Simmonds and Clifford. If it stays this way keep them sitting until they're needed

Mitch is the best player in the series so far. The gap between him and whoever #2 has been is massive. I've never seen him look THIS good
And to think people wanted to trade him, and trade for Eichel at that.

gonna be honest that's a soft call to make.

I think if they can do this they win:
1) Don't lose faceoffs cleanly in the defensive zone.
2) Don't make bad turnovers in the neutral zone.
They had to call something. If they let that hit and scrum go uncalled the next period would start to spiral into a bunch of nonsense.

Not a bad period at all folks. I do feel like we can be better though. Hope the boys come out harder for the final 2 periods! GLG:leafs

Keefe took a bet on the refs and his guys not backing down without Simmonds/Clifford in the lineup.

So far it is paying off.

Also funny that the fans are booing some missed calls but it was actually Tampa who were committing them. That thing on Brodie was Foote holding Brodie and falling when Brodie tried to skate away. Also a bunch of high sticks they are trying to fake (not the Lyubushkin one, that was legit) to get the refs to call it their way. Refs have been great so far not falling for that crap and not letting cheap crap go.
Indeed! Hope it stays this way.

yea but I woulda been pissed off if the roles were reversed. At worst shoulda been offsetting penalties. Still, not complaining. Just calling it like it is.

Breakdowns in both teams zones , as you would expect from 2 top teams playing in the playoffs
