Hope his kids are enjoying school and he is enjoying his money. Huge POS. So happy he wasn't on our Cup roster.

It still confuses me how he's been in the league this long. He can't skate, his shot is softer than Brian Boyle, and he can't pass either. I guess standing in front of the net and tipping pucks is good enough carve a long career out for himself. And yeah **** Smyth. I'm glad we did it without him. He deserves to retire like JR: without a cup.

So what's so special about this Schultz kid?

Unproven as of yet (obviously) but he's highly touted as a great offensive defenseman. Not afraid to get up into the play (not uncommon to see him up beside the net if the opportunity arises), good skater so he's able to get back on D.

I think he had 48 points in 30ish games down in the AHL - second in the league in scoring only behind Eberle.

Again, he's unproven, but he shows a lot of promise.
